Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Beyond the Rainbow

As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.

I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.

I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.

For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

Rainbow Bridge

I believe that animals can teach us all very important lessons if we are open to it and allow them too. I have been blessed to have many amazing animals in my life whether for a short time or years, that have taught me so much and given me so much and in return have asked for very little other than love and companionship.

When I have had to part with those due to death it has been difficult. As with anyone we loose, I find we are truly never really ready to say goodbye or to let go. Sometimes they teach us a lesson even in letting go.

It is important to always remember those we have lost and all of the lessons they have taught us. Those lessons often continue to affect and teach us for the rest of our lives. I believe we will meet those we have lost again in the afterlife, they will be waiting there will all of the rest of our loved ones, eager and happy to be together again.

We want to pay tribute to the amazing companions that have been a part of our lives throughout the years and gave us so much. I just hope that in return of all they gave to me I was able to give to them at least a  fraction of all they gave and taught me.

Below are some of those we love and miss.

Gone only in body, thier spirit and soul lives on and continue to touch our lives...

         "Mo"

Muffin

Muffin was a rescue that I got as a puppy, before I had a family of my own. She and I really grew up together. We traveled all over Europe and the U.S. together; she was always by my side.

She gave so much to me and taught me so much, if we have animal soul mates she was mine. She was my kindred spirit. She was in tune with my every mood and always there to pick me up and celebrate the happy times.

Saying goodbye to her was very difficult, one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do. I prayed that when it was her time God would allow her to go in her sleep, but that was just not to be. She was so devoted to me that she would have held onto life no matter how difficult it became for her. She continued to give and teach me  to the very end. I probably held on longer than I should have for purely selfish reasons, but in the end it was me that had to give her the final gift of dignity and peace. It was my love for her that gave me the strength to say goodbye, or rather I will see you again...

"Love knows no bounderies, when those we love pass thier love is not confined to the body they once held, it is released with them and stays a part of us forever and at the end of our lives that love is what directs us back to those we lost."

By Kristian Cromartie

                                          "Simone"Simone

Simone, she was my big huggable protector. I originally got Simone to detour "gypsies" while living in Europe but she turned out to be so much more, she very quickly stole my heart. She would protect us to the end but was much more of a lover to those she knew. She never had to use her might because her size and bark were enough to scare anyone away.

She was such a devoted girl, even when she was out of the fenced area she would never go anywhere, she would just sit and wait for us to let her in the house. She loved her family and was devoted to us.

Again, I had to go through the pain of letting her go and again probably held on to her longer than I should have, but she was holding on too and didn't want to leave even when I had to be the one to allow her to go.

Letting her go was difficult and there is not a day that goes by that she is not missed.. Your presence is felt everyday and I look forward to seeing you again.

"We thought of you with love today. But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday. And days before that too.

We think of you in silence. We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories. And your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake. With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping. We have you in our heart."

What would I do without you, my precious Furry Friend?
Part mischief, but all blessing, and faithful to the end!
You look at me with eyes of love, you never hold a grudge, you think I'm far too wonderful to criticize or judge.
It seems your greatest joy in life Is being close to me,
I think God knew how comforting your warm, soft fur would be.
I know you think you're human, but I'm glad it isn't true,The world would be a nicer place if folks were more like you.
A few short years are all we have, one day we'll have to part, but you, my pet, will always have
A place within my heart.

   "Lily"

        Champion Pointed

"MOSA's Stargazer"

 8/29/2009-3/22/2011

Lily  Lily was a beautiful girl with a spirit that was just as beautiful. The perfect combination of her two parents genes, she was spirited, outgoing and comical. A great part of our family and amazing show dog. Always full of fun and love, she was as perfect as they come.

She was just a few points away from completing her Championship when a horrible accident occurred and she was taken much too soon. There are no words to describe the terrible loss and void this has left in our family. Even though she was not with us as long as I would have liked, she still gave so much and taught so much to me. I rarely wish to change anything in my life as I always feel everything is teaching me something or giving me something to take from it but if I could I would change things so that I still had Lily with us.We will always love her and she will always be missed.

“Reason, Season, Lifetime”

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty;

to provide you with guidance and support;

to aid you physically, emotionally or spirtiually.

They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconveniet time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to and end.

Sometimes they die.

Sometimes they walk away.

Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fullfilled; their work is done.

The prayer you sent up has been answered and not it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.

They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done.

They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you must build upon in order to have a solid emitional foundtation.

Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

It is said love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life, wether you were a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

 Tribute sites to post Rememberances

Having ourselves, gone through loss many times of  different animal family members who we cherised. We understand how difficult it can be.

Not everyone has a website or place in the cyberworld to leave a tribute.

We want to help those who are experiencing it find a place that they can pay tribute to those they have lost and to find a place where there are others who have experienced it.

We hope these links help.

Fisher Funeral Chapel; A place to post tributes and also find grief support services if needed for the loss of your pet.

Pet Angel Memorial Center; A place that provides many services for the loss of your pet including a page to place a tribute.
