A note of Thanks

Thank You!

  • When I began my journey with Italian greyhounds and the world of dog shows I really had no idea what I was in for or just how complicated it was going to be. Just as much of my life and my journey's as a model and artist. it has never been dull and very similar to the fashion and art worlds.

There is so much more to the dog and show world than most realize, like most things in life that we as individuals bring into our lives we often do not see what goes into the creation of those things, we only see the finished outcome. Not understanding the process is common and not a fault but it lends at times to the lack of appreciation for all that has been done to get the result we see. To do it correctly and be responsible both in breeding and placing of your puppies is a huge responsibility and one we take to heart. We love each and every puppy or dog that goes out our door just as much as we love the ones who will live with us forever, they are all a part of us regardless of where they may live. We don't breed just to produce a litter of puppies, we do it to continue our breed and strive to give something back for future generations of the breed so that it may continue and be stronger.

While my IGs have brought me much happiness and continue too, the IG and dog show journey is not for the faint of heart, it and the people in it can be very challenging to say the least. While I have had my share of challenging situations I have been very fortunate to have had much support and have made many acquaintances, friends, mentors, and relationships along the way.

My greatest supporters have been my husband and daughter and without them my work with IGs would not be possible. As much joy as the dogs bring to our lives it has at times been frustrating as well as time consuming and costly. We have been in this as a family and to raise the IGs as part of our family as we feel they should be it has taken all of us to do it and I appreciate everything that both of them do, Thank you so much to both of you, you mean the world to me.

My reliance on a handler has also been very instrumental in the success of our dogs when it comes to the shows. I, myself due to my obligations with family and everything esle at home can not travel the amount of shows it takes to successfully show and finish my dogs in what I consider a comfortable time frame, so having a handler to help show our dogs for us has worked very well.  I have learned a lot on the fly regarding the IGs and showing them and quite often she has had to endure headaches from me while I got it figured out and we had to endure each others differences. We still and always will have our differences in opinion, but we are working as a team, MOSA's IGs are doing very well in the ring. Not to say we aren't still a pain to each other at times but aren't all relationships.

I would also like to thank some of the acquaintances and mentors that have so been so gracious in sharing information and have encouraged me along the way, We may not always agree on everything but your sharing of information, guidance, and support have contributed to my success with the IGs. Then there are some who have helped without even realizing they were helping by the lessons they taught me without even knowing they were..
First of all a huge thank you  for what I consider to be the best IG's that have blessed my life. I would like to thank the following people; Aldo, Leona, and Tracy for all of your knowledge and guidance on the European standards and bloodlines. Your knowledge and support have helped me introduce the best European lines into mine. I would also like to thank Tami here in the US for sharing so much valuable information with me.  There are many others who have given me information in my research, too many to name so, Thank you to all of you who have given me so much information on the breed and to those that continue to give support and guidance. I would also like to thank Mark for all of the encouragement he has given to me when he has seen me at the shows and the help he offered to my daughter at a show, it meant a lot to us both.

There was one individual in particular who's methods taught me what I did not want to do, information you shared with me pushed me extensively into research that gave me a crash course in the dog world and how it can be at times both the good and bad and through that, my research taught me what to really look out for when placing my puppies.

I also want to thank the extended families of my babies that have adopted them into their homes and made them a part of their lives. I appreciate the continued contact we share, the update photos of the kids and the friendship I have been blessed to form with some of you. You guys are great and I am so happy to know each of you and to share a part of our lives with you.

There are many great IGs in the show ring that are deserving so , I also want to thank each and every AKC judge that has seen and continues to see the quality in our dogs that make them awesome examples of the breed and has put them up for it.

Everyone I have mentioned has contributed to some degree in the success we have with our IGs and I appreciate and thank each one of you for whatever your contribution has been. We look forward to many more years with our IGs and in knowing our friends and making new ones.

Thank you and may you all be blessed

    Kris,
